I just found your board. Currently my homeowners is with One Beacon. They are not renewing my policy, they say they are not writing anymore in Illinois. I had a dog bite claim settled last year. For $2300 in vet bills. We got rid of the dog (a pit bull mix) and now have a Labrador. My agent says the best he's been able to find for us is a policy with a dog bite exclusion (even though we got rid of the biter) for $1200 a year(current premium is $544with a $1000 deductible. He said the problem is that most companies won't write homeowners without writing auto for the same client? Does this sound odd? Can anyone steer me in the right direction.
