sorry about the apples to oranges thing. i had typed the same response so much that i just pasted it there so you can read the part that applies to our "conversation" and take it for what it's worth.
i know you thought that you were doing the best for the client and i don't blame you. the company lied to you too. there is no need for any cash value policy ever!! sorry to break it to ya, but like i said you haven't read the book nor have you defended anything i said about cash value, whole life, or estate planning with whole life. and i know you haven't read the book cuz you replied back too fast.
just because i didn't type the part about term insurance out of the book doesn't mean that the author doesn't understand it. i'm not gonna sit here all night and re-type all the pages out of a 470 page book. if you knew whow Charles Givens was then you'd know he know a heck of a lot about term as well as cash value.
i respect you because you tried to do what's right within your power. the insurance companies have it set up so that their own agents don't really know that what they are selling is not good for people. how can a family live off of a 75,000 death benefit if each parent makes 30,000 a year. it's simple math. that money won't last two years after taxes. and if you have ever had a client die when they were underinsured you'd know the impact that cash value has on people's lives.
our term is not the cheapest but it is the best. people don't pay alot of money for cheap things. price is only an issue in the absence of quality. so if i go buy a BMW i'm not complaining about the price because i know i bought a great quality car. get me?
i should apologize. all insurance agents aren't bad but most insurance companies are. i just want people to know the truth and then they can make up their own minds.
i agree not everyone has the same situation and not all products fit all people. but in the case of term insurance you need it you have the responsibility of a family. but it doesn't fit everyone. just like you don't need car insurance if you don't have a car, but if you do have a car you had better get some. and i've always wondered why the life insurance industry is the only industry to add a savings plan to insurance. you don't get a savings plan with car insurance, or home owners insurance. why life insurance? it's in the book my friend it's all in the book.
