For those of you with complaints about Kaiser Permanente's treatment of you insurance
or health care don't feel singles out. Kaiser Permanente treats there employees equaly unfair.
Not only is this organization unaware of state labor laws they regularly disregard same. They
are however equal in the ignorance of federal labor laws. Presently my sister who is a nurse
for Kaiser is on administative leave. The accusation is miss use or poor attendace at work.
After having to take some time off due to injury sustained at work she also had to take some
off to care for her ill son. Under a doctors care he was confined to his home with an I.V. in
his arm. My sister is a single mother and had no other options than to care for her child.
Kaiser is at present asking my sister to resign her possition under threat of beeing black listed
from ever being able to obtain a job with them again. At her interview she asked Kaiser managment
if they knew of the federal law called Family leave Act ??? They were to say at least a little
surprised. They didn't know what to do and have refered this to their legal department. Not only
was the local legal department not able to resolve the problem they have had to refer the mater
to a higher legal department. Durring this process they have left my sister without income and
health care for an ill child that is about to expire. Any information on simmilar occurances
would be greatly apreciated. It seems the only way to stop this type of corporate abuse is through
class action. If you feel you have any information that may help please contact me. What a shame a
company of this size cant comply with simple laws and regulations without such actions.
