Sorry no, still an adjuster, for 15 years. Just applauding your decision to exit the job.

Get into sales of some type, insurance or otherwise if you can. Thats where the money is.

Look at someone who is doing the job you want now. Do you want to be him/her in 10-20 years?

: Are you currently an underwriter? If so, how would I even get my foot in the door? Should I try to work for a company or a large brokerage? Thanks

: : 3 years and burned out! Wow!

: : Good decision, but I am not sure underwriting is any better than adjusting, as far as pay, working conditions, etc.

: : Any other career asprirations? I tell my mother I play piano in a whorehouse....(lol)

: : : I am currently a claims adjuster with just over 3 years experience. I am getting burned out on claims and would like to make the transition over to underwriting. Has anyone out there made this transition? Good decision? Starting pay for an underwriting assistant? Thanks for your help.
