The catch is that USAA is only affiliated with military attachments. Unless there is someone who was in the military, or is currently serving in the military, they can not cover you. Many times I have bragged about the company to friends and have given them the phone number (1-800-531-8111). They would call the next day and find out that unless someone in their family is in the service, the company apologizes and says they can not do anything for them. My father and grandfathers were in the army and air force. They had USAA, and it was the only way my family could get it...Sorry! But please prove me wrong. I would recommend them to anyone.
