Then she turned 60 and he told her she had to now loose 50 lbs before they would even put her on the waiting list for a knee replacement. She lives daily in extreme pain with a broken knee and can no longer walk on her own. She is 60 years old and should not even have to use a walker but she does. How can I get somebody to listen to me. My mother is dying from pain, or will die from the pain killers she has had to live on for these past 5 years.

The best thing you can do for your mother is to help her find a diet plan and a good doctor that will assist her with a good weigh loss program. If her current doctors refused to operate on her knee because cause of here weigh I seriously doubt if you will find any doctor willing to operate under those circumstances.
