I also am new to UNUM. I am finishing up the 6-month short term disablity process--I have had to jump through hoops over and over and over again.. Senceless..writen requests for the same info every month..the change is that the list will grow to insane porportions. I have so far complied..I have two Doctors and an LCSW as my treatment providers. UnUn calls on holidays 2-3times, weekends, anytime they feel like it to ask about your history(even though they have this info from the prior month), and to tell me I am getting disqualified again. I am fed-up and desperately need to feel secure that this area is covered. Now is when I beleive they are going to pull the rug out. Anyone hear of a class action suit?? My employer took this coverage out for me, I originally did not even know it existed. I would be wary of getting involved with UnUm.
