Hi Rebecca . I also have had problems with UNUM Insurance company and my employer. I have brought the case right up to the Federal Courts with my lawfirm and am attending a pre mediation hearing next month. Its been a long time coming and alot of work. I have a group policy and have no need to worry about any other policies. The Erisa blow to Unum IS substantial and now they have been on two national television program sequences and basically accused of felonious activity. You dont see UNUM suing the network for slander do you? In Philly though a Dr with a private policy was awarded 36 million in court that was appealed and settled out of court. Dr Judy Morris is a very outspoken Dr against UNUM and makes heavy charges against them. Just go to your search engine and type the companies name in and follow all the links as I have and you will see exactly for yourself what you need to do. I just got on SSDI and have become morbidly obese from all the stress and have put on 75 pounds since I left work on STD. Dont give up. I wont.
