: recently we were in a minor car accident and through this whole claim process cgu has been AWFUL. the claim adjuster made a statement in the beginning we are at fault. after much explaining he finally get it! and apologized. how pathetic. probably they don't even employ people who are licensed. if you have cgu insurance, the best service is NOT to get yourself in an accident.
Perhaps a few more details regarding the accident?
As far as licensing, that varies by state; in my state, only independents such as myself and public adjusters need be licensed or meet continuing ed requirements. The carrier folks get a free pass. In other states the licensing is the same no matter what the employer.
I have worked in two states with absolutely no licensing requirements (at the time at least) - Illinois and Indiana!
