So untrue. I have been in Primerica for four months (some of you may think that I am still walking around with blinders on) Yes, we work from people we know. Yes, the $199 goes to a licensing class and fee. You then pay $50 to take the state exam, but if you pass Primerica pays you back the $50 plus the $18 for a criminal background check. And by the way we are in a highly regulated industry and the laws require licensing for every area. If I am only licensed in insurance I cannot sell a mutual fund. These are state and federal regulations not Primerica's.

I have heard of really bad offices that teach nothing and aren't interested in getting people licensed and productive. I feel fortunate to be in an environment that promotes helping those around you instead of recruiting everyone, throw them to the wall and see who sticks. Not a good policy and not one we subscribe to. We are looking for leaders, not just a sales force. Not everyone can be that. If you don't have what it takes then look within.

As for their products being less then stellar. I throw this fact out. After 9/11 Primerica was one of if not the only company to pay ALL claims without delay.
