My home burned down on august 19th, 2000. My agent not only referred the contractors/cleaners, they brought them to our home in their pick-up truck.
We were later told that the contractors were the cleaners, roofers, tile floor people, heating and air people...everything.
We drove up one day and caught them all drinking beer and blowing out insulation. One worker fell through the roof right in front of our adjuster.
I filed a complaint and the entire crew was fired the next day.
Allstate again, hired another crew (without giving us an option to find our own people)
Here it is two years later and we are stuck with a home where the ceilings are all cracked, the toilets flood and leak, the walls are all bubbled up and our 10-year marriage ended in divorce due to the overwhelming stress and financial strain of it all.
