Our company just received a 93.2% rate increase from Golden Rule. We have never filed a single claim! We were told that it was based on Michigan law that was passed nearly 2 years ago. I contacted the State and they said that was not true. I filed a complaint with the state. Nona with GR said that they raised our rates because they had to charge all our male employees the same rate as a woman of child bearing age. The odd thing is that we have 1 woman insured of child bearing age and her rate was already the same as theirs. Golden Rule could not comment on that fact. I guess they will have to deal with the state. As for us, we can no longer afford insurance. I hope they are HAPPY: I'm hearing stories about unfounded rate increases with Golden Rule Health Insurance.I thought it was just me. Anyone else?.
