--If it is a term policy, there will be no money back (with the exception of any unearned premium). Term insurance works similar to home or auto insurance in that regards.
Is the policy still in force?
Also, I would strongly recommend that you do NOT terminate this coverage until you have something else in place to replace it. (If you still want coverage).
