Every paycheck a sum of money is taken out and given to United Health Care to cover our medical problems. I went to the doctor yesterday and he gave me a prescription for a physical problem I'm haveng. After work today when I went to get it filled, I was told that I don't have any coverage and unless I pay $90+, I can't get the medication. I called as soon as I got home to see why the pharmacy was told I'm not covered. After going through a long "press 1" for this or "press 4" for that, I finally got a human on the line - only to be told that my insurance had been cancelled in January! (It's now the 23rd of July!) I told them it had not been cancelled, the money is still coming out of my check, and I just got a prescription filled 2 weeks ago! "Sorry, we show here that you do not have any coverage." God forbid anything happens to myself or family!! This is a BIG mistake and United Health Care will have the pants sued off them if anything happens and we are refused treatment because of this! When they did pay, it was only, for example on one of my bills, $25 toward the $290 lab bill - which they cover 100% of the allowed, but there lies the the problem....allowed. $2 allowed for a $40 test! Wish to God I was a millionaire, I'd drop these idiotic companies and pay cash for everything!!!
