On June 21st, 2001 I went out on STD. On 11/30/01 my company, Heidelberg Digital, terminated me because of my disability in spite of them accomodating me for over 2-1/2 years. Ever since January 2002 Unum Provident has been fighting me tooth & nail refusing to pay for my LTD & medical benefits. There first excuse for denying me my LTD & medical benefits was because there was no proof that I worked in hardware. Heidelberg's HR person, Lisa Wainwright, lied & she was then caught in her lie. In there denial form Unum Provident did state that I had enough proof that verified my disability. Seven physician including Heidelberg's physician verified my disability.

I then appealed there decision & just yesterday 7/8/2002 Unum Provident stated that they are turning me down again now because I don't have enough proof of my disability. Are they crazy. I have all the paperwork.

Upon losing my job I lost my medicial insurance & my ability to meet all of my financial obligations. I have a progressive, degenerative spinal disease that will worsen with time. I am in excruciating pain & I have no way of getting medical attention to alleviate this pain.

Unum Provident & their employees is the worse of the worse insurance companies. They are heartless, cruel, inhumane & they do whatever is necessary to increase their profits by stealing benefits from people who are disabled. I am going to find some way to fight UNUM PROVIDENT & their cruel, inhumane denials. WARNING: Do not buy insurance from UNUM PROVIDENT if you care about yourself, your employees, company, etc..

Information about my claim & what I have suffered through can be given upon request.
