: I don't know much about them but 71% of 100insurers.com surfers do not recommend the company.
: Personally I use 20th century, and pay alot less. I have had one claim and they had it repaired THAT DAY.

They are a great company....contact them through their website, and ask for claims experience in your area. Compare quotes from at least five insurers, and choose the best one for yourself; Just be sure to find out how claims are handled, what the claims experience in your local area has been with each company, and what you could expect should you file a claim. Having worked for a couple of insurance companies in the past, I can tell you that the procedure doesn't change much from one company to the next. What makes a bigger difference is whether or not you have a reliable, local claims adjuster (whether that adjuster is a company employee, or an independent adjuster who contracts with the company ). Speed has to do with the company having all the information it needs to process the claim quickly, and if you actually have the coverage in your policy. (I found that most claims problems had less to do with the claim itself than with disreputable agents who "sold" the client less coverage than the client thought they had.....so when a claim happened and it wasn't covered, or only partially covered, the client was mad at the company, and I never saw an agent step forward and accept responsibility....usually, the agent blamed the company "see I tried for you but they wouldn't do it" ) It is a con game perpetuated by the general agency system, but has less to do with the company's reputation than with the agent's. Check out claims experience carefully. It is how you find out if the insured clients were satisfied with how their claim was paid. (And, since I log onto this site every few weeks to see what is going one, I have noticed something: there tend to be the same people on here over and over.....which makes me wonder: when do they work? why do they stay on here everyday? and where does there expertise come from to answer questions? Get your information from credible sources: BBB,Insurance Commission, local Consumer Advocate, etc.
Good luck!!
