Damn, I hate it when Just Asking is right. LOL
Spelling is a non-issue. I have 2 college degrees...a B.S. and an A.A.S. (summa cum laude in both)..(and I was a high school drop-out!). Yet, even with my post-secondary education and teaching background, my spelling and grammar can be rough around the edges. I post between seeing clients, and many times I am rushed to get my point across. Message boards and email are notorious for this. Spelling and grammar are a non-issue...most of the time those posts are just plain funny, but there is no correlation between spelling/grammar on message boards, and intelligence/success. I learned my lesson...stay on the point at hand; use facts; and try to win the debate intellectually without too much emotion (though it can be hard to keep it in check sometimes). I feel that I am on the other side of the fence than Just Asking...I dont share all of his views. I disagree with him on most points..but I have come to respect him. He is articulate and intelligent..and the most ethical Primerican I have spoken with. Once I got my anger regarding Primerica out of my system, I now thoroughly enjoy my debates with him. So lets all stay on point here...both sides.
