Well in california the non driver surcharge is now illegal. Prop 17 was just defeated.

I'm sure all the auto insurance companies would love to nickel and dime us to death.

: I had a gapin my auto insurance in 2002 when I wasn't driving. When I went to get insurance through state farm, they wanted to charge me an "accident surcharge" because there was a period when I didn't have insurance. It would only be for like 6 months then my premium would go back to normal. I walked. But Farmers wanted to do the same thing to me. Has this happened to anyone else?
