I was involved in an auto accident with a person who was insured with Progressive Insurance. I was sitting in my parked vehicle when a driver of a truck who had Progressive Insurance struck the rear of my vehicle while making a turn. The driver got out of his car and stated it was all his fault as he misjudged his turn.
The driver stated not to worry as he had insurance and would make sure everything on my truck would get fixed. He apologized numerous times and stated he would take care of the damage. The drivers statement was also heard by my two daughters 14 and 11. Progressive did an estimate of the damage which was $450 they then denied the claim stating that their insured driver told them I hit him. After explaining that it was impossible and I had witnesses and photos they still said to bad we have to believe our insured, claim DENIED. The adjuster handing the claim was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. He did even want to hear my side of the story. Progressive is the worst. The insurance department should look into there awful claims handling.
