Been with Allstate Home & Auto for years. Got health and supplemental health options plan in 2009.
Got sick had to have surgery and filed a claim on the SHOP policy, they took months to even respond, then demanded I jump through hoops to prove my claim.
My Allstate agent had no clue what some of these things even were and had never heard of them before.
I finally get a response to my claim, which was denied based on prior medical history, they claimed misrepresentation on my initial application.
The incompetent staff at AHL could not even cross reference birthdates and social security numbers to verify their facts.
Then they cancelled my policy and sent me my premiums.
I hired an attny and filed a case against them, their attny filed the same exact thing; they said to me and even included this other persons medical files in his response.
All of this and they still DO NOT have to resinstate my policy, which I do not understand at all.
