: My niece was recently killed by an Uninsured drunk driver. First of all, her family cannot get policy limits on UM without hiring an Atty & filing a L/S. Second, her fiance in the car with her, who watched her dying; got next to nothing due to Med Pay adjuster making offer & not revealing that it included UM offer. Essentially he got nothing!! First, apparently this is their policy that they have to hire/pay an Atty. Further, there is a possible suit against GM for seatbelt failure and they are refusing to Subrogate against GM. I used to work for ACSC and we would have gone after GM in a heartbeat.
