If you have an at fault accident and you have damage that gets paid for, yes the insurer could raise your rates.

Points from the ticket is a another issue, and you could also get hiked from that.

It depends on your insurer and if they like the new risk you are assuming to them.

: I was in a accident and it lightly scratched a car. You can hardly see it. I did get a ticket because it is mandetory. the cop told me to come to the court day and he will throw it out. so i dont have to pay anything and i dont have any points on my license. Does my insurence still go up. I have allstate by the way
