So let me teach you something. Life insurance is not meant for ones whole life. Even Suzy Orman advocates for this same idea. She says life insurance is more important then food! I dont know where you live but weekend funeral carwashes are an epidemic in almost any city in CA. Even most poor could afford a term policy (however cable TV seems to be their first priority). Anyway term insurance is cheep and you get a whole lot of coverage for the price. This coverage is not an investment! If I die within 35 years, the benefit is meant to cover my income that was lost, thus protecting my family from fanatical devastation. I have a Primerica policy. Its a 35 year term insurance policy which is a product designed for only income protection. Once the insured pays off their mortgage and there children are grown and out of the house there should be no need for this protection anymore. If the insured wanted an investment they should have bought a mutual fund investment at the same time they bought their life policy. LIFE INSURANCE IS NOT AN INVESTMET! Investments are investments. Life insurance is income protection. Any agent who tells you different either doesnt have a securities (investment) license, is a crook, or wants to rip you off because the commission is so much better on other products other then term insurance.
