We are having the same exact overcharging problem with Amica.
After seeing all the good ratings on the Internet about them we decided to switch from Allstate.
Big mistake. We both work & go to school & have a limited amount of time to fight billing mistakes (My wife has a hawkeye for this kind of thing & you won't believe how often if happens on all different sorts of bills nowadays I suppose corporations figure most people are too busy to check their bills constantly & see if you will pay it.)
Anyhow.... we are busy & Amica keeps telling us conflicting information about returning overcharges, our installment payment bill actually went up after paying for a few months.
Our telephone agent (not local) never returns our phone calls...we have to catch her picking up (almost always answering machine.)
Today, i told my wife.... lets just eat the $500 dollars in overcharges & switch back to our local Las Vegas agent.
Really, I think all the good ratings for Amica must be paid endorsements.
This was like getting involved with gypsies.
