Well, first of all no company in the world is going to give someone training materials for somthing until they sign on for it. Not only that but as the training materials are provided by the state how are they supposed to give them to you. When you go for the training for the life insurance class you get the books then.
Second, I never had to give any names or refferals before i started. And when i did, it went towards building MY buisness. If you want to get started and started fast you have to start somewhere.
Third, there are a lot of ways for making money in this buisness without recruiting. There are several people in my office who do just that and make good money with it.
Fourth, the overrides and no where near what you get on straight commisions. Of course Primerica is out to make money but who isn't. whether you as a person are there for the money or there to truley help people is based on an individual basis. Sure there are popple who get in it just for the money but I personaly have seen what it can do to help people including my own friends and family.
The reason we do not need a financial background is because of the fact that we do not deal with to much of the numbers. Citigroup owns us and they are the ones that have to take care of all that. we are just the middle man between the bank and the client.
It is also true that not every office operates the same. There are some higher up's in the company that are in it for the money and do not care if you yourself get higher up. But I also know where I am at is the total opposite.
There is nothing "ethically compromising" about helping people. Yes, it is hard work but not as hard as a 9-5 job.
