My background : 3-4 years, Personal Lines/Group health benefits/travel Insurance Company. Licensed Broker. I recently was invited to Conference for Primerica, after attending these are my thoughts.
There were high energy "Motivational Speakers", all 4 of them told me the same thing... You can make 40,000.00 a month if you work hard. Primarica: the answer to all lifes problems.
They went on to provide us with diagrams and propaganda of success's experienced within the company (in the upper echelons of course). I had so many questions; these questions were shaped like a giant monkey wrenches for their corporate engine.
Of course though, there is no room set in the brainwashing session for questions.
Why is it that Primerica would not provide me with course materials prior to me paying them 200$ and providing them with 3 contacts for them to "Train" me? (I love how they hide the term SELL with Train.)
Of course the development aspect is huge, they push you to sign people into the business. (Its totally up to you! they are structured so that override commissions are almost as much as direct commissions) So of course their goal is to A- sell the product B- gain access to 3 contacts from a never ending chain of referrals. The structure does not permit them to advance without developing business for the company.
I bet you guys heard this too: "at Primerica we don't worry about wealth or sales, but only with helping people that don't know how to help themselves. The reward is In hearing a family say you saved my marriage
Lets take a close look at... A- Your recruits, and B- your market... Financially Insecure or No income??, No PRIOR financial background or education??? What responsible financial organization operates on this level??? There are inherently destructive and ethically compromising aspects to the way this company operates, and out of principle I will have nothing to do with it.
Im sure money can be made, with hard work, but remember that Primerica only cares about Primerica, and certainly not you, or your clients.
