I've been approached by agents from World Financial Group and Primerca.
When I first heard their presentations I was very interested in what they have to offer. However, something told me that the structure of the companies were a lot like pyramid scheme.
I have been doing some research on World Financial Group and Primerica.
So far, I found out that these two companies has very similar structures with slighty different services.

First thing I want to do is gather some concrete informations why this is or is not a scam. Please avoid comments such as "primerica is great I work for them" or "world financial group is a scam my friend was ripped off."

Rather provide me with reasons why these companies are legit or not. Give me specific reasons such as "why these companies are not scam and explain how these companies are different from pyramid scheme" or "how these companies indeed are scams." If anyone has any ideas please help me out. Thank you.

P.S. Please feel free to correct me on anything I mentioned above.
