I got a call the other day about a career opportunity from a Primerica manager. I humored him a little on the phone because I thought it was MLM, but to make sure, I did a little research on the web. The best way to research any company or organization is to type in the name of the group and follow it with "scam"; i.e. "Primerica scam". Well if I had any doubts before, I am clear on the subject now.

My problem with MLM is this: The goal is always to get other people to sell the same product you are selling. But if everyone is selling the same product, who is buying it?! Recruiting everyone to be your competitor in any market is entreprenurial suicide! It's ludacris! Yet somehow people don't recognize it as a scam. The only MLM company that seems to have any descency is MaryKay Cosmetics. They sell the product first, then the system. The only problem is that the products are watered down and overpriced (check the active ingredients vs. store brands).
