Some of the postings on this board speak of disability insurance claim denials, but I have not seen anything that indicates claimants are aware of statute of limitations problems when coverage is obtained through an employer. Employer sponsored plans are usually covered by federal rules (ERISA) which are very prejudicial to employees. Employees may have as little as 60 days to effectively appeal the denial of claim. As soon as you have a denial from a disability carrier, SEE A LAWYER IMMEDIATELY.
