I am currently looking into lawyers and complaining to the better business bureau about this. I would never recommend Farmers to anyone and as soon as my claim is settled (if ever) I am changing to a company who is willing to do the work they get paid for and who handles claims with professionalism and within a reasonable time-frame.
I wonder if Farmers is related to Meridian in any way.
I am having similar problems on my Meridian HO
insurance settling a claim for hail damage to my
roof. Every other neighbor on my block has been
compensated by companies such as State Farm, Allstate
and Grange, but Meridian has me jumping through hoops
hhoping I'll give up. And the claims adjuster
they sent me was MCA, a supposedly independent
firm who also does adjusting for Farmers. The adjuster
assumed I had Farmers when he was sent out to look
at the roof for a second time because they claimed that
the first adjuster they sent was inexperiences and
incorrectly said that my house was damaged. What a
crock. The insurance company sent them back to disprovw
my claim because I was unhappy with my treatment and
the amount they said they were willing to pay. Now they are
trying to give mw nothing.
