Oh, I forgot something very important. What you learn on the course for getting licensed is not Primerica theory or something like that but is real stuff regarding the Insurance industry, laws, and practice, group and individual insurance, you learn about investments, about retirement, about government benefits, about pension plans, RRSPs, RSPs, RESPs, about how and what a professional agent has to perform, their responsibilities regarding their clients, duties and practice. In one word is GREAT stuff for ANYONE who lives in our society. Lets face it maybe only 10-20% of people have any idea what these things are and how they work even though everybody deals with them on a daily basis. From this point of view paying $200.00 only for attending such a course regardless that you will ever act as an insurance agent or not is for anyones benefit. I was absolutely and completely satisfied of what I learned and I definitely step on a more solid ground then before as a person, as a citizen and as a society member. Too bad they dont teach this stuff in schools. But this is the system they only let you know as much as to become good income provider for the system and to follow it.

On the other hand I agree that some of the representatives tend to grab just anybody to sign the IBA and to convince them to join the business, which I admit, it is completely wrong. Because of them and only them the Primerica has the not so good reputation in terms of recruiting and being regarded just another pyramidal schema. But not all of them are the same and I met really professional representatives and RVPs whose tactics and methods were very effective in recruiting the right people for the job. That explains their success, of course. Nobody forces you to become an insurance agent if you dont want to. If they still insist tell them that I, The Primerican, told you that they are just doing a lousy job for them and for Primerica. :o) On the other hand if you think that you are good working with people, but not at selling dreams, definitely go for it.

The conclusion is that I recommend everybody to be more careful what they read what they consider of being true and false and to try to understand more a process, phenomena, a structure than is written on a discussion board or a forum. Here there is no science or real information but mostly amateurs, dilatants or even worse, people with bad intentions.

I wish you all success with your life.

The Primerican
