: Its funny to me that the primerica MLM's that post to this site are so defensive and mad. I came here with an open mind trying to listen to varying opinions and ideas. Wow, they really show who they are. Even the people that feel they have been scamed have more respect and patience than these sales people, whats the deal, relax. If your products and the business are so good why would you need to be abusive to others opinions and ideas?
I agree I went to one of their meetings, and besides being mislead, the reps continued to press me for a credit/debit card or a check to process my registration and begin the sign up process. Now as far as I'm concerned if it was that much of an oppourtunity they wouldn't have to beg for a credit card or check... But compled to be rich i continued to listen, and at the end of the meeting is where the bombardment began. Reps were all over the room asking people for either a check or credit card. I didnt have the money that night, but i still wanted to sign up so i waited until the following meeting that next week and was ready to sign up with the $199 they had requested. I was lucky, while I was on my way to the meeting which was over an hour away from me, I got a flat tire and had to pull over to change it, so I was a little late getting to the meeting. Once I arrived everyone had just finished paying their $200 and the speaker began to speak about the classes we would be taking and the State test. At the end of his presentation he then again began asking for credit cards or check books for a $59 fee... This is where the red flag began to wave for me, because in last weeks meeting we were told that $199 is all we would ever have to pay, (I know for sure because I was the one that stood up in front of everyone and asked) hey I had to know exactly what I was getting into. At that point the speaker said only if you fail the test do you have to pay $59 to retake it because we are not going to pay for you to fail the test. Ok that sounds reasonable so I sat down, but the second week a different rep began saying oh you have to pay for the exam up front and if u pass only then will we give you a check for $59. So ok here is the first place where I was mislead, so I began to ask questions, and when I asked was this the only instance where I would have to pay money they couldnt even answer the question, he started talking about something else and when I said no that was not my question and asked it again, (this time one of his co-workers came up to see if she could help answer the question) they both acted like they didnt understand what I was saying. Now come on that is a very simple question and if you cant answer me stright,,, then you've already answered my question..... But you see it took me until the end of the night to realize this, because after all it did seem like a really good oppourtinity and you dont want to pass up something you barley know nothing about... which brings up a nother question,,, how can you feel you know nothing about a program and it's company even after you have attened 2 of their meetings, to me this says their not doing a good job in their presentation, or they have something to hide, because who in their right mind signs up for a program paying $200 but are clueless as to what is going on.... no one but yet and still my friend sitting next to me who knew less than I did signed up and gave her money and the guy next to me who barley spoke english gave his money as well... I could go on for another hour explaining the way they acted (like complete sales men)but im gonna wrap this up. My friend that signed up, is kind of shy and really didnt know the right questions to ask but I did and pointed out all of their inconsistencies and she agreeded with me and was depending on me to ask all the questions, but during the time I was asking him questions, he answered none of them so I decided I wasnt going to sign up but I did say I was still very interested and had a few more questions, in that moment he shifted his attention to my friend and said I have nothing else to say to you! NOW WHAT'S WITH THE ATTITUDE as far as im concerned I WAS JUST ASKING SOME QUESTIONS,BECAUSE i WANTED TO MAKE SURE I KNEW WHAT I WAS GETTING IN TO BEFORE I SIGNED ANYTHING AND HE OBVIOUSLY DIDNT LIKE THAT (WHICH IN MY MIND SAYS SCAM HOW ARE YOU GOING TO GET MAD WHEN SOME ONE ASKS YOU QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PRODUCT YOUR TRYING TO SELL THEM NO ONE BECAUSE THEN YOU WONT HAVE A SALE). So I said it, I said oh so are you going to just ignore me now because i'm not ready to sign up tonigh. Needless to say my friend wasnt sure what to say so i ended up asking the question anyway... and of course they couldnt answer it...
To anyone looking to attend their meeting go in there with the mind set that everyone in there is a sales man and you will see them for what they are.... The services sound good and I wouldnt mind learing it for my self but the bottom line is that their in there to get people to sign up because their weekly check depends on it. In my eyes that's a sales men because they dont get paid unless I sign up and you have to think like that going in to the meeting,,, also do your research because think about it where are they going????? No where they will still be there next week if you decide to sign up... so take your time making the decision dont let them rush you into anything because after all they are getting paid off you.
