[100 Insurers Message Board] [FAQ]

Posted by michael on August 29, 2004 at 11:45:58:

Hello all. I am trying to gather info on general aviation insurance payouts when there is an accident. I use to own a flight school but the associated costs were killer. I have been studying insurance for instruction and rental policies and cannot find anything on the average $ payout when an accident or incident occur. The NTSB, Nall Report, FAA, just to name a few are full of statistical information about accidents per year, per 100,000 hours flown, etc, but nothing on how much these accidents cost. Does anyone known where I can access this information or is it closely guarded? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
