We have had Oxford Liberty PPO since March of 2001. I have had nothing but trouble with claims, mail order perscriptions and coverage. What we were told in our introductory meeting with reps from Oxford were not telling the truth or didn't know what they were selling.
Thanks to Oxford and their lack of coverage,I now owe my asthma dr. over $600.00 because his practice is listed in the book,as being in the plan, but he is not personally listed as a member of the plan and Oxford insists that he isn't a member,so I must pay for out of network. In our area, only one other
asthma dr. is within 30 miles of me. NOT FAIR,no choice. As for the perscriptions,I have spent over $1,100.00 on perscriptions, because Oxford won't cover them for under $35.00,and no by mail only 30 dy. supplies,by mail is 90 dy supplies for the same money.I have told our HR about this situation, and I'm in the process of sending complaints to the Pa. and NJ dept of insurance and comsumer protection. I'm also formulating a letter for our local media about how Oxford is a rip off company, just look at the settlements with other states!!
The reps also don't return phone calls or get any answeres for you.If I could I would drop this lousey coverage in a minute.I also have written both of my US Senators about your lousey coverage, but I got no answer from one and a song and a dance from the other. I intend to write the White House and anyone else who is interested in stopping the rip offs by insurance companies like yours!@!@I would drop your coverage in a minute if I could,I tell everyone how bad it is.
