Would you "like" going to someone who called themself a doctor when they really weren't? Didn't think so. So why do you guys run around calling yourselves analysts when you really aren't?

: That's really great reporting.
: So, you don't "like" that fact that PFS agents are called analysts.

: Well, boo hoo. Get over it!

: Oh yeah, I'm still waiting for all those names and numbers of lending institutions that will do a mortgage just like PFS.

:
: .

: : A correction: to view the recruiting script I was given at a Canadian Primerica office, go to http://www3.bc.sympatico.ca/bizwatch/script1.html

: : :
: : : I totally agree with you. The title "Associate Personal Financial Analyst" is a proprietary one and has no meaning outside Primerica. It's given the moment the $199 is paid and the contract signed. Nothing could be easier.

: : : Once 6 training appointments are completed...sorry, that's six SALES, not appointments, then you are a full-fledged Personal Financial Analyst, even though someone else did the presentation, made the sales and got paid. They are YOUR friends, which in Primerica are called "a warm market." Nice way to view your friends.

: : : I was required to set appointments immediately upon becoming an APFA. I was handed a script to read from on the phone, one that was designed to deceive my friends into seeing me and my, ahem, "trainer." Here's the script we were given in our office. The pen marks are mine.

: : : So, $199 and 6 sales made by someone else and you are a PFA. Mosy planners have a few designations. One of them is the Chartered Life Underwriter. This program is available at American College, and the requirements for this are a little more thorough.

: : : http://www.amercoll.edu/prospect/clu.asp

: : : CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter)
: : : Earning a CLU
: : : The designation requires eight courses - five core courses and three electives, as noted below.

: : : Even this is a light load compared to some degrees, but compared to a PFA its a PhD. You really can't take these Primerica guys seriously. They're just blowing smoke because that's what salesjerks do.

: :
: : :
: : : : You are correct you can't claim to be a financial "planner" because you are not. But Primerica purposely uses the title Personal Financial Analyst to deceive & mislead the public.

: : : : Example, when I receive services from a stock analyst, a computer analyst or ANY analyst, I would expect that the person performing the analysis have the education, training and experience to back up the title. PFS reps have NONE of that!

: : : : It's a totally meaningless title designed to deceive, that anyone with $199 can get. Imagine if doctors, lawyers, etc. could get their title for plopping down $199!

: : : : : Touché on the phonics comment.

: : : : : However, I'm going to have to respectively disagree with you on all counts.
: : : : : I'm not going to get into a pissing match of opinion.
: : : : : You claim things that are half true and half not. Then state them a fact and go from there.
: : : : : It's a good tactic, but I'm not going to get sucked into this circular argument.

: : : : : And to reply to both you and UML.
: : : : : I have never nor will I claim to be a financial "planner".
: : : : : This ridiculous label that anti-PFS people claim we call ourselves is absurd.
: : : : : We DO NOT call ourselves "planners". That is a completely different expertise.

: : : : : Again, a good tactic in deflecting the conversation to something that we aren't even talking about.

: : : : : I will ask this one simple question though.

: : : : : If there are other lending institutions that will do bi-weekly payments on a mortgage AND AND AND apply the payment and ANY prepayment IMMEDIATLY to the loan when it's received NOT on or about the due date, please post names and numbers.

: : : : : I will personally call and confirm.

: : : : : .

: : : : : .: I have no problem with Primerica owning NBL per se, the problem lies with the fact that they allow NBL reps to sell CV products at the same time they teach the PFS reps to trash the stuff.

: : : : : : Since Primerica owns 100% of the company, why don't they just stop allowing the NBL reps to sell CV products? Here's the answer, they will lose the profits!

: : : : : : Bottom line is, since Primerica has the power to do this and they choose not to, they are being hypocritical!

: : : : : : As for the "trashing" stuff, you guys tell your clients that ALL CV companies and agents are wrong, that you are the ONLY mortgage company that does bi-weekly, that credit cards are bad because of high interest, etc. I would call that trashing! How do I know this is done? This is how I was trained by PFS & this is how I trained reps at PFS.

: : : : : : At the same time, Primerica is selling CV products through NBL, they refer mortgage clients to predatory lenders that charge outrageous interest rates, charge high front loads & 3% - 5% prepayment penalties.

: : : : : : There are some more examples of the deception & the hypocritcal behavior that is typical with PFS.

: : : : : : BTW, speaking of the "phonics link", I have never posted that YOU said PFS trashes other companies. On the contrary, I posted that you say you do NOT do that. Maybe YOU should check out the "phonics link".

: : : : : : : Settle, settle Mislead.
: : : : : : : Wow. I'm emotional?? LOL

: : : : : : : In fact, the issue is whether or not PFS is hypocritical for selling and preaching Term but owning a company that sells CV so that they may sell pure Term in New York State.

: : : : : : : It seems a bit of a counter diction. Does it not?
: : : : : : : However, I pose a question to a brilliant mind, such as yourself.
: : : : : : : How then is PFS supposed to service customers with Term insurance in New York? Should PFS just say, "oh well, I guess we can't help people in that State because people will think we're trying to "deceive" or are being "dishonest"."

: : : : : : : Give me a break Mislead. You need to wake up and smell what you're shoveling.
: : : : : : : Obviously, because of New York's screwed up legislation, PFS had to do something like this to provide a better solution to it's customers.
: : : : : : : Leave it up to jack-asses like yourself to twist the INTENT and REASON for PFS buying out a "CV" Insurance company.

: : : : : : : And again, I refer you to the Fun With Phonics link I posted earlier.

: : : : : : : I never said we go "trashing" credit card companies and banks etc.
: : : : : : : We simply SHOW PEOPLE how they make their money.
: : : : : : : If it sounds that ugly, well then, maybe it is???

: : : : : : : People are amazed at how interest works, when you take the time to show them.
: : : : : : : You know, it makes me laugh when I see simpletons, like yourself, trashing a company like PFS.
: : : : : : : We're out there showing people how to better manage their money and how money can work for them, and you call that "trashing" banks and card companies.
: : : : : : : Yeah, ok genius.

: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : .
