"You don't cut a check for $199 and then run around like a mental patient selling policies and calling yourself an analyst?" Hog wash. One of the biggest things I heard in EVERY office I visited during my 6 years with PFS is "get their IBA & get them in the field within 36 hours!"
Of course now they have a new title for newbies, ASSOCIATE PFA. So I guess you are right about that now...you run around calling yourselves associate analysts!
The point is, it doesn't matter how long you've been with PFS, you still don't have the education, training and experience to back up the title! Plain & simple!
: It's comparisons like that, that make anti-PFSers look silly.
: If you were really in PFS you would know that you don't cut a check for $199 and then run around like a mental patient selling policies and calling yourself an analyst.
: And I'm still waiting for the names of all those institutions, in my previous question.

: : You are correct you can't claim to be a financial "planner" because you are not. But Primerica purposely uses the title Personal Financial Analyst to deceive & mislead the public.
: : Example, when I receive services from a stock analyst, a computer analyst or ANY analyst, I would expect that the person performing the analysis have the education, training and experience to back up the title. PFS reps have NONE of that!
: : It's a totally meaningless title designed to deceive, that anyone with $199 can get. Imagine if doctors, lawyers, etc. could get their title for plopping down $199!
