[100 Insurers Message Board] [FAQ]

Hello,

I have a horror story about Zenith Insurance Company which I feel I have a duty to let others know. I am an EMPLOYER in the state of California and as a result of chosing them as a Workmens Comp. insurance provider, I have lost the 2 best employees I have ever had as well as soured my relationships with other valued employees. In every case, the Zenith people were ok at first but quickly began to treat my employees as if they were all committing insurance fraud. My employees, trusting them because of their trust in ME, went to the doctors Zenith referred them to. That was a big mistake because these doctors work for THEM and refuse to not only acknowledge the severity of the injuries, but also refuse to conduct the appropriate tests. (One of my long-time employees now has permanent nerve damage Zenith refused to do an MRI, which was actually necessary to detect the damage already done and treat it in time. When she switched doctors to get an MRI for fear of permanent damage, Zenith cut off her T.T.D. and never bothered to start it again when her new doctor sent all the appropriate paper work! (They had said right away before they got the papers, then after they got them changed it to 3 weeks, but eventually never sent anything) She was left with no money coming in and no one would answer her questions. She applied for disability but Zenith delayed answering questions and therefore delayed her money! They did everything they could to break her! I felt so bad for her, Im the one who had to loan her money out of MY pocket to live!!!) Every single employee I have had deal with Zenith has had to eventually hire an attorney and start a lawsuit! I am now with another insurance company, Safeco, and have had no problem whatsoever in a year and a half Ive contracted them. THANK YOU, SAFECO!!! My current employees were so concerned about what would happen if they got injured that I had no choice, my relationship with them depended on it. Now the trauma is finally over for everybody. I dont know how the people at Zenith can live with themselves doing what they do for a living: keeping injured people from getting treatment and leaving them completely penniless. I guess theyve never heard of Karma Take it from me if you are an employer with employees you value, stay away from Zenith Insurance Company. If youve had similar horror stories with them, Id like to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Robert.
Los Angeles Employer.
