Middle income America is in trouble...600 plus billion in credit debt. Paycheck to paycheck. Consumer Credit Counseling, Check and Go, pawn shops...all doing lively business. People are embarrased by their financial situations...too embarassed to pick up their papers and take it all to a financial planner and pay money they don't have to get it all sorted out. The majority of insurance agents are STILL pushing the sale of whole life policies onto struggling families who have better uses for their money...lining their pockets with FAT commissions. And the argument about whole life dividends? I think most intelligent people wouldn't count on them to pay squat, since they're not guaranteed.
For middle income American families, term is the ONLY insurance to buy. Argue about this until you change to every color in the rainbow, but virtually every financial publication in existence will back up that claim. Primerica serves middle income families with quality term insurance, and our insurance is worth every penny, because we have the highest ratings in the industry, and because we aren't making the majority of our money from the sale of cash value policies. Sure, I could find cheaper term insurance, but not from any company I'd feel comfortable doing business with. I have NO problem doing business with a network marketing company if the product or service is superior to the industry.
I'm happy for all the brokers, financial wizards and "other" industry agents who write here regularly, because while you're here, I'm out there talking to and helping families. All of the degrees and certificates are WORTHLESS unless you are putting them to constructive use. So, while your telemarketers are calling and newpaper ads and bulk mailings are running, you sit aimlessly scratching your heads wondering why our numbers are up and yours are down....guess what? I don't wonder. The people making a difference in Primerica are out in the field replacing your policies, and helping people same money they wouldn't have otherwise saved. Those who were previously in PFS and now spend their lives pathetically crying in this message board either thought they were going to achieve financial success without working, or tried to bend/break the rules. I passed my test the first time, qualified for District in the first month, and get paid 50% on life...and that was easy. Quit yer whining and get to work...but be warned...I'm not going to make it easy on you.
