HI - I AM GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING. IN CONNECTICUT THERE IS A "FAIR ACT" PLAN FOR PEOPLE WHOSE POLICIES HAVE BEEN NON-RENEWED. MAYBE IN YOUR STATE THERE IS A SIMILAR THING. I HEAR IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE, HOWEVER. I HAVE NOT BEEN APRROVED YET.
: After my mother was placed in a nursing home, about 8 months later, I was told by her homeowner's insurance that the policy was no longer covering the home. I was then to change over to a policy of vandalism and fire. After 6 months of that change, I was notified of my coverage would be dropped and there is not any additional cover that I can have. I would like information on what kind, if any, insurance I can cover my mother's property for liability, theft, and of natural causes. Is there any such plans for this coverage. I really didn't want to sell her property (being POA) until after her death, but I may have to, if I can't get any insurance to protect her dwelling
