[100 Insurers Message Board] [FAQ]

I am retired in Florida now, but in 1994 while I was living in a town in Illinois near St. Louis I purchased a life policy from an Independent Agent representing a company I had never heard of. The agent had been with Prudential but he left the company. An agent from a different company looked at my policy and pointed some out to me that the agent never told me about. If I had known these things I would have never bourght the policy.

I called the State Insurance Department and they tell me he is no longer licensed in Illinios.

If I drop the policy I am going to lose a lot of my money on it. Its been almost ten years now since I bought it, the cash isn't in the policy he said would be there in ten years, and there are some other things like he told me I would get double identity and its not there.

What should I do?
