I had a car accident Nov. 2001. I went to the hospital in an ambulance. They x-rayed my right knee because it had a big bump on it from the dash hitting it in the accident. There was nothing wrong with my knee -I didn't even need any follow-up care. However, my van was considered "totalled". My auto insurance (AIG Auto Insurance) paid for everything except the deductible then closed out the claim.

Now every time I have an x-ray or problem with a hand, arm, leg, foot, etc., Oxford refuses to pay saying they are not the primary insurer, my auto insurance is. When I called Oxford they said that until my auto ins. company sends them a letter stating that my claim has been closed out, they will not pay for anything that has to do with any of my "limbs" (their word).

I have also had many other problems with them paying "care-providers" for various stupid reasons.

I think Oxford spends more time trying to get out of paying than anything else.

I hope my husband's company will select a new insurance carrier the next time the enrollment time is up.
Thanks for letting me vent...
