I'm considering taking a job selling insurance for AFLAC and I need some questions answered from someone who has worked there as a sales person.

How do you go about prospecting? Do you buy a call list and do telemarketing for appointments? Do you just drive down the street and randomly call on businesses that look prosperous? What's the best way to select accounts to call on?

What other insurance companies are good to work for that offer business-to-business products in Minnesota?

What other insurance products might be a good compliment to the AFLAC line?

What is the percentage of people still selling AFLAC after trying it for a year?

AFLAC's growth has slowed in the last year according to one of my sources. Is there still earnings potential for someone just getting into the business or is the market getting saturated? If it is saturated what other insurance products/companies might you suggest as an alternate?

I'm not new to sales but I'm new to the insurance business. What advice would you have for me? I'm confident in my ability to sell but I know nothing about insurance.
