: For starters, why don't you list for me anything I have posted that is "unfounded garbage" or "slanderous". Everything I have posted I can back up with written proof, which is more than anyone can say about what you PFSers spew!
: I know that Primerica is a subsidiary of Citigroup! How do I know? I was with Primerica for almost 6 years. I was consistently one of the top producers in every category in the third largest hierarchy in PFS.
: Now let me address your "we do what's right 100% of the time" crap.
: I'll start with the mortgages. Tell me how, in any way, shape or form, a 5% prepayment penalty on a mortgage is right for the client! Tell me how the 2% - 5% pre paid interest load is right for the client. Tell me how interest rates starting at 8% are right for the client when most other lenders, including the ones I write mortgages for, are starting at 6.25%!
: Now for life insurance. Tell me how selling a client a term life insurance product that is among the highest priced in the industry is right for the client! Don't give me that spew about price only being an issue in the absence of value crap either. There are plenty of insurers that offer the EXACT product at less premium! Example: My policy with PFS was a 25 year, $300,000 on me & the same on my wife with a premium of $215/quarter. My new policy is a 30 year, $500,000 on me & the same on my wife with a premium of $119/quarter! Almost half the premium with a longer term and more coverage! Now before you start ranting about all the rider PFS has, know that mine has them also. It has the child rider (all children for one premium), Terminal Illness rider, Increasing Benefit rider, etc. So again, how can selling a client a policy for twice as much premium and less coverage be 100% right for the client? It can't!
: As for your personal example, I can show you examples of the exact same thing with other companies. The difference being, my clients are getting the best products at the lowest possible price, which means MORE savings for them! And all the time still being "accomplished privately" in their home! Now, you tell me how PFS can beat that!
: On to your "when can you sit down with..." spew. PFS is not the only company that does this! (Contrary to their teachings)
: Bottom line is that PFS can't possibly do what is right 100% of the time! Why? Their reps don't have the proper training and the company doesn't provide the right products to accomplish that!
: PFS trains their reps to bad mouth cash value companies, products and agents, but fail to mention that Primerica WHOLLY OWNS at least one company that makes millions each year from the sale of those products and that their sister companies sell it as well. They teach their reps to bad mouth banks, yet they are in bed with Citibank. They teach their reps to bad mouth "typical" mortgage companies, yet the companies they refer their clints to (citifinancial/Associates) are being investigated by the FTC for predatory lending practices! That sounds 100% right for the client to me!
: So before you go spewing that I don't know what I'm talking about, know that as one of Primerica's top producers, I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. You do some research OUTSIDE of the PFS brainwashing sessions and I can GUARANTEE if you TRULY do that, you will come to the same conclusion. I've seen the above examples over and over again with my clients after leaving PFS. Lower premiums & more coverage, better mortgages, better investments, etc.
: As far as getting my FNA done, if you have read the Primerica website under their well-hidden disclosure section you'll see that is says the following:
: "...The Financial Needs Analysis is not a financial plan."
: It also states that the reps are nothing more than sales people, not specialists.
: Also, with the comments you've made in your post, I find it hard to believe that you've been in financial services since 83 and still do business with PFS. (Unless you've been with PFS the whole time) Besides as PFS trainers always spout, "We're NOT in the financial services business, we're in the people (read recruiting & pyramid) business."
: So as I stated before, please list for me anything I have posted that is "unfounded garbage" or "slanderous". While you're at it, post proof that what you have posted is true!
: : : Bottom line, PFS is MLM (read pyramid)! If you say it's not, then you obviously don't know squat about "your" business!
: : : If you think you're not screwing people with insurance then you don't know jack about it! Why should a client get insurance with PFS when it is one of the highest priced term products on the market when they can go anywhere else and get the SAME product for up to 50% less?
: : : ...Be in debt at resonable interest rates, or be in debt at outrageous rates, hmmmm, tough choice!
: : : When you want advice, go to a trusted source that has financial education, training and the credentials to back it up! NOT someone that flips burgers by day and finances by night!!!
: : : Primerica is the company that is the laughing stock of the industry, including by their own sister companies!!
: : : : yah... i actually agree with you. i was speaking out of anger. i do think that positive remarks should be posted. and on the contrary i think that if anyone has had a bad experience with primerica that they should post it too. now that i've calmed down, what i was trying to say is that the people who put down primerica don't know anything about it. if you say it's a pyramid then you obviously don't know squat about business. if you say that we are screwing people over with term insurance then you obviously don't know jack about insurance. our business is simple: be in debt or be out of debt...save at 3% or save at 12% ... be properly covered or underinsured...which would you choose? what i wanted to say is that if you want the facts about something go to a trusted source. don't rely on opinions to base your facts. primerica is company that is trusted by the industry and the numbers prove it.
: : Hello!!! I've been reading some of the allegations regarding primerica....For starters, Primerica is a sub-sidiary of Citigroup.....had you been up on things, versus spewing off a bunch of unfounded garbage regarding high cost insurance, etc....I've worked in the financial services industry since 1983....I've not run across a company other than primerica that does 100% what's right for the consumer 100% of the time...I have been a client of primerica life insurance company for over 10 years....I've not been approached for any churning....a very common yet illegal practice.....my family and I have gone from being over $50,000 in desctructive debt with no assets....to now having no destructive debt, my family is properly covered for life insurance in the event of untimely death; and, our family's retirement assets are over $100,000....Now, you tell me what's so bad about that...all this was accomplished privately in our home. You tell me when can YOU sit down with your bank manager, life insurance agent, investment person and the likes all at the same time, working together at the same time to put a total plan together, versus selling you something, that historically has never worked for the average income consumer, which by the way represents most of the population....so before you spout off about how bad primerica is, and what our competition thinks of us.....the simple fact is, we do what's right for the consumer.....our competitors don't have a clue as to what we do actually do, so until you can show similiar results on showing a family how to become debt free, and stay debt free, usually by changing some habits and getting value for their money, versus making all the institutions wealthy at a high cost to the consumer, perhaps you should go back to the drawing table....and do some research yourself versus reverting to slanderous comments on something you actually don't have a clue about, except what perhaps you've been told or taught because you are a competitor and can't compete with what we do for the people period!!!!!Would you like your financial needs analysis done...perhaps you should consider contacting a local primerica representative to assist you!!!!!
