Ken,
My posting was not directed at you. My company is simply an independent agency that allows you to recruit other agents. It is simply an option that is offered, not a requirement to succeed. The reason for this is the fact that I can bring in an experienced, licensed agent at a 100% contract. In a "pyramid scheme" you have to start at the bottom no matter what.
In a normal agency set-up the only way to bring in other agents is to give them a lower contract than what you have and you get the spread as an override. My agency has contractual agreements with American General, (owned by AIG) that allow us to bring in someone at the General Agent level and even though we are at the same contract level, (i.e. 100%), and I can still receive an override from their production.
Now, since recruiting is not required and the agent would still be independent and completely non-captive, what is wrong with a system like that?
As a final note, how do you know what training I've had since I left Primerica? I have stayed out of your business and left you alone, how about you doing the same with me?

: Jeff, setting personal differences aside when you attempted to misdirect a poster to our board and have them purchase insurance from you directly and join you new job when you left the Primerica Sales Divisions, do you really think the training you received at Primerica was sufficient enough to offer to the poster "Independent" advice how to begin to build a successful insurance agency?
