Thank you all for the responses.

Apparently, my wife and I live in different states. We (she and I) have vehicles registered to TN with TN license plate and TN auto policy. Also, I have a vehicle registered in VA, with VA license plate and VA auto policy since I work and live in VA.

I just talked to the insurance adjuster and the only reason that she wants to see our income tax return is to determine which one is my primary residence (TN or VA). The only thing can exactly determine my primary residence is to look at my income tax return, which makes me hesitated to furnish her those information.

I am not trying to make a claim for lost wages under uninsured motorist coverage. I just want to let them know that I involved in a car accident, no injuries nor damaged on my part, but other party may need some medical attention and his insurance company may contact my insurance companies for information. Simple as that, but they go an extra mile to ask for income tax return and an examination under oath.
