: : Has anyone had AIG auto insurance? How good is their claim service???? Their rates are cheap, but is there service any good???
: : Thanks.
: They are the worst at settling claims of three different companies I have had. After my accident six weeks ago, they will not pay a dime for new tires that blew out because of hidden suspension damage. They said the tires were used and the steel treads were showing through based on the pictures the adjuster took. Of course, the pictures were taken after the accident. They also reduced the price of a new suspension part that had to be replaced because the car had 50,000 miles on it. It is a 2001 car and no used parts are available. Their claims service is a disgrace; they will try to save a dollar anyway they can, and frustrate you to death trying to argue with them. I suggest you avoid them!
:I agree with Scott. My fiance's van got totaled by a drive that had IAG. It's been 6 weeks and we are still fighting with them. Both of us now and his insurance co. We had a new engine put in the week before. The car had 248 miles on it. We spent $3750 for the engine including some other parts and labor. They want to give us 2500 for it. They don't include labor. How the heck would it get in there if it wasn't for labor? The other parts they said were part of the car.. yeah.. brand new parts. The only thing we did was park the car. We were sleeping in the house when the car was totaled. They are not helpful at all.
