Prudential InsuranceThe second agent we talked seemed a lot more knowledgable and helpful. He quoted us the annual premium, $275 per year for a 15 year term life policy with a $500,000 death benefit (a preferred 35 year old non smoker). For $360, we could have gotten the policy, with a waiver of premium benefit. To qualify for Prudential's waiver of premium benefit, you have to have a permanent disability for 6 months, minimum. He also informed us we could convert the term policy to whole life in next 5 years, without a medical exam. He had been with Prudential for 10 years but had not heard about the churning issue. He takes the claim checks beneficiaries after I'd die, in case they wanted to invest with Prudential. He was also a premier agent that was allowed to get other policies outside of Prudential if they didn't have the best price and terms, however, we were only quoted Prudential products. He did recommenced I shop around with Met Life, NY life and other competitors. The Prudential Insurance Company is the top US life insurer (MetLife is second) and has been around for 125 years. They compete with AXA, Citigroup, and MetLife. Their products include retailing auto, homeowner's, rental, condo, watercraft, flood, personal catastrophe, liability, permanent life, term, variable and life insurance. They also offer variable, fixed & immediate income annuities, as well as group life and employee benefits. 100insurers.com is not affiliated with any carrier.
